A Recent Miracle In Egypt

A Muslim man in Egypt killed his wife because she was reading the Bible and then buried her with their infant baby and an 8-year old daughter. The girls were buried alive! He then reported to the police that an uncle killed the kids. 15 days later, another family member died. When they went to bury him, they found the 2 little girls under the sand - ALIVE! The country is outraged over the incident, and the man will be executed. The older girl was asked how she had survived and she says:- "A man wearing shiny white clothes, with bleeding wounds in his hands, came every day to feed us. He woke up my mom so she could nurse my sister," she said. She was interviewed on Egyptian national TV, by availed Muslim woman news anchor. She said on public TV, "This was none other than Jesus, because nobody else does things like this!" Jesus would do this, but the wounds mean He really was crucified, and it's clear also that He is alive! But, it's also clear that the chi

Every Woman Is Beautiful

A little boy asked his mother "Why are you crying?" "Because I'm a woman", she told him. "I don't understand", he said. His mum just hugged him and said, "And you never will"... The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry. Finally he put in a call to God; and when God got on the phone, the man said, "God, why do women cry so easily?" God said: "When I made the woman she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world; yet gentle enough to give comfort. I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children. I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining. I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly. I gave her strength

A Prayer For Healing!

Jesus Christ, You are alive. You have given the good news. Life is abundant, and now life is eternal to those who know You and that includes me. "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten, Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." You have promised it, Lord. "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live." You have promised that if I have faith as the grain of a mustard seed, I can say to my mountain, "move and nothing will be impossible. Jesus Christ, look at me. You know who I am. You know where I come from. You know what problems I carry in my heart, and my mind, and in my physical, organic body. O Lord, you know a lot more about me than I do. A lot more about me than any doctor, any psychiatrist, or any counselor knows. O God, give me the gift of faith. I receive this gift, and I feel a warm glow. Your faith is flowing from my mind, across my face, across my l

The Power Of Prayer

READ | Matthew 7:7-11 Jesus knew the importance of prayer and practiced it regularly. He often slipped away from the crowds to commune with God. He would receive the guidance and strength necessary to carry on His Father’s work. In teaching about the power of prayer, Jesus promised that God will answer. He used three words to help us pray effectively. First, we must ask. We are to come to God with our requests. In doing so, we are acknowledging both our need and God’s ability to meet it. Jesus assures us that every request will be granted in accordance with our Father’s best for us and others. Next, we should seek. Sometimes the Lord asks us to get involved in the situation that we’re praying about. We may be petitioning for Him to help us find a new job. He wants us to seek His wisdom and guidance. God also wants us to take practical steps to find what is available. When we obey His directions, God promises to provide the answer. Finally, knock. In carrying out the Father’s plan, we’l

Unforgiveness and Hate

Ephesians 4:31-32 [31] Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: [32] And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. One of the most destructive attitudes for a Christian is hate. Think about it. How well can the saving light of Jesus Christ shine in a life that is totally covered in hatred, anger, or rage? And what picture of Christ does this type of person show to the unbelieving world? Hate is a total breakdown in the Christlike attitude we're called to exhibit. But even in churches, it's not hard to find individuals boiling over with hostility. Where does it come from? One of the key reasons believers can be prone to hatred is the inability to forgive those who caused them an undeserved hurt. Let's take a "hate test." Think about someone who hurt you in the past, and consider these three "heart checks." Fi

I Can Do All Things...

Philippians 4:13 --- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.

How God Expresses Love

READ | Romans 5:5-8 God loves every person He created. We could spend an entire day talking about the ways He expresses His love, and we'd still be unable to mention every one. But let's take a look at a few examples from Scripture. Creation is a tangible love message. God made a beautiful world for us to enjoy. He didn't have to make the earth interesting to observe or explore. But He did because He delights in our pleasure. He also enjoys meeting our needs, which He often accomplishes through other people. For that reason, He formed the body of Christ. He made believers into a family so we could look to each other for encouragement and support. Another expression of His love is found in our freedom to decide whether or not to join the family of believers. Free will allows us to choose obedience, which makes us grow into mature followers who bear Christ's image. Another important example of God's love is that He causes all things, even hardships, to work fo

God, The Greatest Lover

READ | 1 John 4:16-21 God's love is an everlasting gift. We don't deserve it. But, there's nothing we can do to lose it. The Father's love simply is. No amount of good or bad work causes it to change. What's more, we must realize that when we try to repay someone for a freely given gift, we frustrate the giver and reveal our own lack of self-worth. As long as you or I feel we must deserve the Father's love, we cannot fully experience it. We'll be so busy trying to do something lovable that it won't occur to us to be still and simply allow His nature to settle our mind and heart. And what is His nature? God isn't simply loving. The Scriptures tell us He is love (1 John 4:16) . In addition, God's love is sacrificial. It's the kind of love that puts aside your own desire to meet the need of your beloved. In our case, that need is salvation. We are sinners, incapable of relating to a holy God on our own. Divine justice required payment for
