whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer believing, ye shall receive.” Hebrews
11:6 says, “But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he
that cometh to God”—and that’s what we’re doing when we pray—”must
believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently
seek Him.”<br />
<br />
Many people have struggled with this question: How can I pray in
faith if I’m not absolutely certain that what I’m asking for is in
accordance to the will of God? The reason we struggle is that our faith
is misplaced. We think that we somehow have to work our faith up to the
place where God will answer a particular prayer.<br />
But that is not the case. The object of our faith is the person of
God Himself; not our faith. When I do not have faith, I’m saying one of
two things: either God cannot answer this prayer or God will not answer
this prayer. If I say He cannot, I’m questioning His sovereignty and His
power. If I say He will not, I’m questioning His goodness. To pray in
faith means that I believe God can and I believe God will insofar as
it’s consistent with His glory, because God is good.<br />
<br />
Sometimes we pray and we ask God for something, and immediately we start reasoning why God can’t answer the prayer. And so, we don’t have faith. We do not have faith because we do not see
how God can answer. That means that our faith is not in the power of
God; it’s in our own creativity, our own imagination. So, the truth is
that we pray and ask God for something, and if we can figure out how God
can answer, then we have lots of faith. But if we can’t think of any way in the world how God can answer our prayer, then we don’t have much faith. We’re just sort of hoping that
maybe God’s got an idea that we haven’t yet thought of.<br />
<br />
We must believe that He exists, that He is God. That He is Almighty God.
That He is not limited by anything that we can think of. And then we
must believe that He rewards those who diligently seek Him and believe
that He is good. one common speech for all people. The people of the earth became skilled
in construction and decided to build a city with a tower that would
reach to heaven. By building the tower they wanted to make a name for
themselves and also prevent their city from being scattered.<br />
<br />
God came to see their city and the tower they were building. He
perceived their intentions, and in His infinite wisdom, He knew this
"stairway to heaven" would only lead the people away from God. He noted
the powerful force within their unity of purpose. As a result, God
confused their language, causing them to speak different languages so
they would not understand each other. By doing this, God thwarted their
plans. He also scattered the people of the city all over the face of the
earth. Thus, people from different countries speak different languages.<br />
<br />
In order to understand other languages when dealing business with other nationalities, we need legal translators. if you are looking for a professional, legal <a href="http://www.rosettatranslation.com/legal-translation/">translation services</a> company, then you have come to the right place. Through their office in London, UK, Rosetta Translation specializes in high-quality translations for corporate clients, including legal translation, such as contracts, both for corporates and legal firms. Do Not Interfere In Others' Business Unless Asked.<br />
<br />
Most of us create our own problems by interfering too often in others' affairs. We do so because somehow we have convinced ourselves that our way is the best way, our logic is the perfect logic and those who do not conform to our thinking must be criticized and steered to the right direction, our direction. This thinking denies the existence of individuality and consequently the existence of God. God has created each one of us in a unique way. No two human beings can think or act in exactly the same way. All men or women act the way they do because God within them prompts them that way. There is God to look after everything. Why are you bothered? Mind your own business and you will keep your peace. <br />
<br />
2. Forgive And Forget. <br />
<br />
This is the most powerful aid to peace of mind. We often develop ill feelings inside our heart for the person who insults us or harms us. We nurture grievances. This in turn results in loss of sleep, development of stomach ulcers, and high blood pressure. This insult or injury was done once, but nourishing of grievance goes on forever by constantly remembering it. Get over this bad habit. Believe in the justice of God and the doctrine of Karma. Let Him judge the act of the one who insulted you. Life is too short to waste in such trifles. Forgive, Forget, and march on. Love flourishes in giving and forgiving.<br />
<br />
3. Do Not Crave For Recognition. <br />
<br />
This world is full of selfish people. They seldom praise anybody without selfish motives. They may praise you today because you are in power, but no sooner than you are powerless; they will forget your achievement and will start finding faults in you. Why do you wish to kill yourself in striving for their recognition? Their recognition is not worth the aggravation. Do your duties ethically and sincerely and leave the rest to God.<br />
<br />
4. Do Not Be Jealous. <br />
<br />
We all have experienced how jealousy can disturb our peace of mind. You know that you work harder than your colleagues in the office, but sometimes they get promotions; you do not. You started a business several years ago, but you are not as successful as your neighbor whose business is only one year old. There are several examples like these in everyday life. Should you be jealous? No. Remember everybody's life is shaped by his or her previous Karma, which has now become his destiny. If you are destined to be rich, nothing in the world can stop you. If you are not so destined, no one can help you either. Nothing will be gained by blaming others for your misfortune. Jealousy will not get you anywhere; it will only take away your peace of mind. <br />
<br />
5. Change Yourself According To The Environment. <br />
<br />
If you try to change the environment single-handedly, the chances are you will fail. Instead, change yourself to suit your environment. As you do this, even the environment, which has been unfriendly to you, will mysteriously change and seem congenial and harmonious.<br />
<br />
6. Endure What Cannot Be Cured. <br />
<br />
This is the best way to turn a disadvantage into an advantage. Every day we face numerous inconveniences, ailments, irritations, and accidents that are beyond our control. If we cannot control them or change them, we must learn to put up with these things. We must learn to endure them cheerfully thinking, "God wills it so, so be it." God's plan is beyond our comprehension. Believe in it and you will gain in terms of patience, inner strength and will power. <br />
<br />
7. Do Not Bite Off More Than You Can Chew. <br />
<br />
This maxim needs to be remembered constantly. We often tend to take more responsibilities than we are capable of carrying out. This is done to satisfy our ego. Know your limitations. Why take on additional loads that may create more worries? You cannot gain peace of mind by expanding your external activities. Reduce your material engagements and spend time in prayer, introspection and meditation. This will reduce those thoughts in your mind that make you restless. Uncluttered mind will produce greater peace of mind. <br />
<br />
8. Meditate Regularly. <br />
<br />
Meditation calms the mind and gets rid of disturbing thoughts. This is the highest state of peace of mind. Try and experience it yourself. If you meditate earnestly for half an hour everyday, your mind will tend to become peaceful during the remaining twenty-three and half-hours. Your mind will not be easily disturbed as it was before. You would benefit by gradually increasing the period of daily mediation. You may think that this will interfere with your daily work. On the contrary, this will increase your efficiency and you will be able to produce better results in less time. <br />
<br />
9. Never Leave The Mind Vacant. <br />
<br />
An empty mind is the devil's workshop. All evil actions start in the vacant mind. Keep your mind occupied in something positive, something worthwhile. Actively follow a hobby. Do something that holds your interest. You must decide what you value more: money or peace of mind. Your hobby, like social work or temple work, may not always earn you more money, but you will have a sense of fulfillment and achievement. Even when you are resting physically, occupy yourself in healthy reading or mental chanting of God's name. <br />
<br />
10. Do Not Procrastinate And Never Regret. <br />
<br />
Do not waste time in protracted wondering "Should I or shouldn't I?" Days, weeks, months, and years may be wasted in that futile mental debating. You can never plan enough because you can never anticipate all future happenings. Always remember, God has His own plan, too for you. Value your time and do the things that need to be done. It does not matter if you fail the first time. You can learn from your mistakes and succeed the next time. Sitting back and worrying will lead to nothing. Learn from your mistakes, but do not brood over the past. DO NOT REGRET. Whatever happened was destined to happen only that way. Take it as the Will of God. You do not have the power to alter the course of God's Will. <br />
<br />
Why cry over spilt milk?

As you well know, we are getting closer to my birthday. Every year there is a celebration in my honor and I think that this year the celebration will be repeated. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
During this time there are many people shopping for gifts, there are many radio announcements, TV commercials, and in every part of the world everyone is talking that my birthday is getting closer and closer.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It is really very nice to know, that at least once a year, some people think of me.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
As you know, the celebration of my birthday began many years ago.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
At first people seemed to understand and be thankful of all that I did for them, but in these times, no one seems to know the reason for the celebration.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Family and friends get together and have a lot of fun, but they don't know the meaning of the celebration. I remember that last year there was a great feast in my honor. The dinner table was full of delicious foods, pastries, fruits, assorted nuts and chocolates. The decorations were exquisite and there were many, many beautifully wrapped gifts. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But, do you want to know something? I wasn't invited. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I was the guest of honor and they didn't remember to send me an invitation. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The party was for me, but when that great day came, I was left outside, they closed the door in my face ... and I wanted to be with them and share their table. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In truth, that didn't surprise me because in the last few years all close their doors to me. Since I wasn't invited, I decided to enter the party without making any noise. I went in and stood in a corner. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
They were all drinking; there were some who were drunk and telling jokes and laughing at everything. They were having a grand time. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
To top it all, this big fat man all dressed in red wearing a long white beard entered the room yelling Ho-Ho-Ho! He seemed drunk. He sat on the sofa and all the children ran to him, saying: "Santa Claus, Santa Claus" as if the party were in his honor! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
At midnight all the people began to hug each other; I extended my arms waiting for someone to hug me and do you know no-one hugged me. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Suddenly they all began to share gifts. They opened them one by one with great expectation. When all had been opened, I looked to see if, maybe, there was one for me. What would you feel if on your birthday everybody shared gifts and you did not get one? </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I then understood that I was unwanted at that party and quietly left. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Every year it gets worse. People only remember the gifts, the parties, to eat and drink, and nobody remembers me. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I would like this Christmas that you allow me to enter into your life. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I would like that you recognize the fact that almost two thousand years ago I came to this world to give my life for you, on the cross, to save you. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Today, I only want that you believe this with all your heart. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I want to share something with you. As many didn't invite me to their party, I will have my own celebration, a grandiose party that no one has ever imagined, a spectacular party. I'm still making the final arrangements. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Today I am sending out many invitations and there is an invitation for you. I want to know if you wish to attend and I will make a reservation for you and write your name with golden letters in my great guest book. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Only those on the guest list will be invited to the party. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Those who don't answer the invite will be left outside. Be prepared because when all is ready you will be part of my great party. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
See you soon. I Love you! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Jesus </div>

These kind of people irritate me and they are not worth my trust. If a person breaks her promises to me, it would be hard for me to believe her word next time. I happened to encounter quite a few people who can't keep there word and they really pissed me off. Latest one in the list is a lady who borrowed money from me. It's been more than 6 months since she borrowed the money and she promised me many times to pay it back and broke it many times too. She got lots of alibis. I loaned her the money because she was in need and she's a long time friend of my late sis. She claims to be a Christian too. She was able to land a job not long after she borrowed the money that's why I don't understand why she didn't pay me as promised. She's very quick in borrowing the money but find it hard to pay it back. She might thought I'm rich because I'm married to a foreigner but little did she know that we came here in PI doing missionary works with only our home church supporting us. I tried to understand her many times but when I sent her a text and told her I needed the money badly she said she can't pay me back because she don't have a job now. She asked for another extension. What in the world?<br />
<br a="" />
I myself had borrowed money from friends and relatives way back when I was badly in need but I paid it all as promised. I kept my word so they will not lose their trust in me. I don't want to be the talk of the town as "tiwed" in our dialect or "manunuba" in Tagalog. Christians or non-Christians, we are responsible for our decision of making a loan, for our spending and paying back what we borrowed. In many cases, it may be necessary to borrow money to purchase a “need”. However, there is such a thing as “responsible borrowing and lending”. Here are a few biblical principles that, if heeded, may keep many from the financial failure that could easily happen to them if these principles are ignored:<br />
<br />
The Bible does teach that it is acceptable to loan money and things.
The good lender should show mercy and kindness to whom he has lent.<br />
<i>“A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.” Psalms 112:5</i><br />
<br />
<i></i>A godly person has a responsibility to pay back what he has
borrowed. It is a wicked person that does not pay back a loan!<br />
<i>“The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.” Psalms 37:21 </i><br />
<br />
<i> </i>When we give our word to pay back money we have borrowed, we have an
obligation to pay it back. Breaking our word is lying. We are
accountable for the promises we make! It is our testimony, especially if
we are Christians, to do what we say.<i><br />
<i> “These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an
abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed
innocent blood,” Proverbs 6:16-17</i></i><br />
<br />
When a person does not pay back what he borrows, he is keeping what does not belong to him.<br />
<br />
If we borrow something, and it is damaged or dies in our possession; it
is the borrower’s responsibility to restore to the lender what was lent.
The borrower needs to fix what was damaged.<br />
<i>“And if a man borrow ought of his neighbour, and it be hurt,
or die, the owner thereof being not with it, he shall surely make it
good.” Exodus 22:14 </i><br />
<br />
If you are trying to help a person who is having financial difficulties, do not make a profit on his hardship and don't charge interest.<i> </i><br />
<i>“If thou lend money to any of my people that is poor by thee, thou
shalt not be to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him
usury.” Exodus 22:25</i><br />
<br />
So my unsolicited advise to people who borrowed money from whomever, pay them as promised. Remember, what goes around comes around. <i><br /></i>GeoLishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11623086421063977435noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3800770763561651759.post-24383555519016662912013-09-03T10:25:00.000-05:002014-02-13T02:07:56.795-06:00Peach Suite's Hotel SuppliesIf want to go into the hotel business, you need to check Peach Suite. Sometimes you hear someone say, "We've done all we can. The only thing we can do now is pray." Prayer really should be our first resort rather than our last resort. Jesus gave us the Lord's Prayer, as a model prayer and Jesus himself often went off to pray, setting an example
for us to do the same. In Matthew 14:23 KJV, it says, "And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone." If Jesus needed to go off and pray, how much more do we need to?<br />
<br />
Praying should not be something we do out of duty and routine. Prayer is talking and listening to our loving, all knowing, heavenly Father. The book of James tells us to pray for wisdom when we don't know what to do (James 1:5). In Philippians 4:6,7, prayer is connected with receiving God's peace. In Ephesians 6:18, prayer is a very important part of battling the forces of evil. We are also told to pray for those in Authority over us (I Timothy 2:1,2).<br />
<br />
Prayer shows our dependence on God, His power and His wisdom. Prayer is powerful and so important. Studies have been done in the medical field showing the power of prayers. They used two groups of people to observe the difference between the group that was being prayed for and the group that wasn't. There was a marked difference in the recovery of those who were being prayed for, and they weren't even told that they were being prayed for. Most hospitals realize the importance of prayer in the healing process for their patients, and welcome pastors and chaplains to be a part of the healing team.<br />
<br />
In the midst of our busyness let's remember how much we need God and need prayer and make a daily practice and our first resort instead of our last. Begin by thanking Him for anything you feel grateful for, then ask him to forgive you for anything you need forgiveness for, then ask Him for anything you want, then thank him in advance for giving it to you. If you feel like saying something else say it. If not don’t. As you become more comfortable it will come more easily and your conversation will become more casual.<br />
<br />
When you catch yourself making spontaneous comments to Him through out the day, thanking Him for little things that happen, asking for help or advice as needed, and so on, you’ll realize He really is your constant companion. But like all habits it all starts with a decision to begin.

<i>This is a guest post. </i></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
There are certain things that it seems
you’re just supposed to do in life as you get older. And no I’m not
talking about the un-fun things like writing up a Last Will and
Testament or Life Insurance. I’m talking about the good stuff like
playing golf and drinking great scotch. Well, or playing golf while
drinking great scotch. Oh what fun!</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br /> </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
As
a youngster I remember my family living on a golf course in a place
called Hidden Hills in Jacksonville. But unfortunately at the time I
wasn’t interested in golf at all. I was a young entrepreneur though and
my brother and I used to fish golf balls out of a pond and sell them
back to players. Now that I think back I could have totally played the
hell out of that hole and it probably would have been a lot of fun. We
lived on the eleventh hole. It wasn’t until we had long moved from that
neighborhood that I picked up a golf club and fell in love. </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br /> </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
I’ve
been trying to live on a golf course again ever since. Well, I guess
the next best thing is if your mom and dad live on a golf course, right?
So there’s apparently all of these <u><a href="http://www.kolterhomes.com/communities/9/verano/">PGA new home communities</a></u> and my parents found an awesome one. I’m learning quite quickly that <u><a href="http://www.pga.com/golf-courses/details/fl/port-saint-lucie">PGA golf in Port St Lucie</a></u>
is a pretty big deal, and I like it. My parents are all moved in to
their new house on a golf course and even though I’m now in my
mid-thirties I think I’m going to move into the guest bedroom with my
golf clubs. </div>

Since then, we've been praying that God will provide what we need to construct a church building. Since we started our ministry in Anis, we've been holding our services in a rented, small bungalow house. When we have some visitors and all the kids in Sunday school are present, we get full pack and crowded. Some people even sit outside. We kept praying and trusting God that He will give what we've been asking for, anyways, it will be His house of worship. I asked my brother to draw a plan for our church. He's an architecture graduate (under board) and he's good in Autocad. After he drew the plan, hubby and I like it so we showed it to the church members and everybody like it too. We all agreed that we need to start the building as soon as possible though we don't have yet enough money to finish it. We have faith that God will provide the necessary amount to finish His house.<br />
<br />
So last August 8th, the workers started to lay out the foundations of our church building. Prior to that, we bought building materials like cement, hallow blocks, sand and gravel, steel rebars, steel wires, 2x2 lumber, ply woods, We only hired 4 workers to work on it and we pay them on a weekly basis. So digging began and the rebars were cut and tied for the concrete columns. Below is the site of the future church building of Living Water Baptist Church. I am so excited and I just can't wait to see it finished, God willing.<br />

After 6 days of working, the workers had to stop because rainy season began. Also typhoons kept coming and it's been two weeks of continuous rain. The workers will just resume working when the rainy season will stop. Maybe the Lord gives more time for the people to give more for the construction of our church building. If you are being led by the Lord to give, then just click <b>Donate</b> on the left side column of my blog. Whatever you give to God comes back to you a hundredfold. I believe that we can't out-give God. Thanks and may God bless you all.<br />

The psalm tells us of our sovereign God’s desire to refresh His precious children – chosen before the foundations o the world, before time began – of His faithfulness to guide them safely through all life’s trials to His heavenly home.<br />
<br />
The psalm beautifully describes our Lord Jesus as the Shepherd. He said, “I am the good Shepherd and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.” John 10:14-15.<br />
<br />
Truly our Lord gave His life for you and me, to pay for our sins that we maybe considered back to our Holy Father.<br />
<br />
The eternal Word of God makes it clear that we are all like sheep that have gone astray, each one turning to his own way and our Father God laid on Jesus the iniquity of all of us. But the Lord Jesus calls us back to Him. “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavily laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28. “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”<br />
<br />
The Lord Jesus gave up His life on Calvary’s rugged cross. He died for us and on the 3rd day He rose again, forever breaking the power of sin and death. And now, seated at the right hand of the Father, He promises, “And I give to them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” John 10:28<br />
<br />
Dear readers, if you have never trusted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, why not receive Him today? The Bible says, today is the day of salvation for tomorrow may never come. Then the promise of Psalm 23 will be yours.<br />
<br />
<blockquote>
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6 </blockquote>

We had our service first then after that we had our lunch. Foods were all provided by our church. One of our church members there who is my uncle did the cooking and he donated the rice. He cooked 6 kilos of pork<i> adobo</i>, <i>pinakbet</i> and rice. My brother cooked chicken (<i>sisig</i>) and I made fruit salad with<i> agar-agar</i>. We served apple juice. We had some visitors who came for the first time. Everybody enjoyed the foods.<br />
<br />
After lunch we had the singing contest, memory verse contest, parlor games and the exchange gifts. Parlor games were sack race,<i> pinoy henyo</i>, longest line and kalamansi relay. The winners were given prizes. The kids had a blast. Everybody including adults were given chocolates and crackers.<br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Life involves both small daily choices and large consequential ones.
Including God in our decision-making is always the wisest course of
action. The Scripture that we have memorized is something the Holy
Spirit uses to help us discover God’s will.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The pattern I have found beneficial in making decisions can also help you with choices regarding relationships, finances, health, employment, or other important areas. The first step involves assessing the heart, mind, and will. To receive the Lord’s direction, we need a clean heart, a clear mind, and a surrendered will. Sinful habits can cloud thinking and keep us from understanding His plan. Confessing our sins and turning from them brings cleansing and clarity (1 John 1:9). A stubborn will that says, “I want my way” prevents us from heeding God’s instruction. Instead, we need to surrender our desires and commit ourselves to saying yes to His plan.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The second step is to wait patiently on the Lord for His answer. It takes courage to stand firm, especially when others are telling us what they think we should do. Our own emotions may be pushing us to act now, but we must resist moving ahead of God. To be patient means trusting the Lord while we wait to learn His answer and discover His timing.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Discerning God’s plan requires preparation of our heart, mind, and will. It also often requires patience. During our time of waiting, we are to follow His known will—to be a faithful servant in His kingdom, loving Him with our whole heart, and loving our neighbors as ourselves (Matt. 22:37-39).

We all know that this is a day wherein people here go to the cemetery to visit their dead kinfolks and offer candles and flowers. This is a good time and opportunity to give out tracts to the people. Six kids from our church went went us and we brought with us 400 gospel tracts printed in Tagalog which we shipped from the states. It was hot in the afternoon but we endured the heat and went to the very crowded cemetery.
<br />
<br />
At first, the kids were shy but I told them not to bashful and just hand the tracts to the people. They have seen George handed the tracts and the people received it. So they did as I told them and we roamed around the cemetery and handed out the gospel tracts. Some people ignored it, others asked if they have to pay for it but the kids answered it's for free. George passed out most of the tracts and people were willing to receive it. That's the advantage of being an American, huh! Some people whom I handed out the tracts just ignored it. After an hour and a half, we were able to give out all the tracts that we had and we went home tired but happy because we had the chance to hand out to people God's message. I know not all people who received the tracts will get saved but at least we planted seeds in their lives. They had a chance to be confronted with the message of sin, righteousness, judgment and a call to repent and believe in Jesus Christ alone for the salvation of their souls.

Deep down, there’s a place within each of us that is made for one
thing—a relationship with God. No matter how hard we try to cover it up
or fill it with something else, we will never be satisfied. Our hearts will remain restless until they find their home with God.
That deep, hidden part of you is there, even if you haven’t realized it
until now.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Even though we sin, God doesn’t begrudge us our lives. In His kindness and mercy, He sustains us—blessing us even when we don’t know it—so we can eventually find the way back to Him. But if we don’t seek Him and His ways, or if we choose to reject Him, our spiritual deaths will be permanent. We will live apart from God and His goodness in eternity after we physically die. The Bible tells us that eternal life apart from God is to live in darkness, with no hope, no joy, and no love, forever.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
God
doesn’t want anyone to experience permanent death (2 Peter 3:9). He
loved us so much that He devised a plan to free us from the grasp of sin
and provide forgiveness for all time. In the Bible, John 3:16
says, “God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so
that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal
life.” Before time began, God has existed in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. There is no division between these three Persons. Though it’s difficult for us to understand, they are one God. Jesus Christ is God’s Son, and He is also God. So when the Bible says, “God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son,” we see that God really gave Himself. </div>

Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. Mark 16:9 KJV</blockquote>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The apostle Paul went from throwing Christians into prison to leading
non-Christians into the kingdom of God. John Newton went from being a
slave trader to being a pastor and hymn-writer. Nicky Cruz went from
being a New York City gang member to being a street evangelist for
Christ. The late Chuck Colson went from White House "Hatchet Man" to
prison evangelist and apologist.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Meeting Christ always results in life-change, but sometimes the change is
radical . Take a woman named Mary, from the Galilee town of Magdala, for
example. We know little about her pre-Christian life except that she
was possessed by seven demonic spirits, from which Jesus delivered her.
We can only assume that being possessed by seven demons created a
chaotic life. By comparison, after being freed from them, Mary became a
faithful follower of Jesus--attending both His death and resurrection.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Sometimes
we don't like change--until we see the changes are for the better! Take
a moment to thank God today for the positive changes you've seen in
your life since meeting Christ.</div>

<span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1343841276_2">John Bunyan</span> was
converted to Christ from a vile and profane life, and he wanted to tell
everyone about it. When he started preaching in his little town of
Bedford, England, he was arrested and imprisoned. This was in the days
when only ministers for the Church of England could freely preach.
Though Bunyan spent years in prison, his voice was never silenced. In
fact, during his imprisonment he wrote his great classic Pilgrim's
Progress and his autobiography, which he entitled Grace Abounding to
the Chief of Sinners . According to Bunyan, had it not been for "a
miracle of precious grace," he would have perished by the stroke of
eternal justice.1</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The
word "grace" means: God's Riches At Christ's Expense. It's God's favor
freely bestowed on us in Christ. As we share the Gospel with others,
grace should be among the first words on our lips--abounding grace,
amazing grace.</div>
<br />
How sweet the sound!<br />
<br />
His whole gospel is a gospel of grace, words of peace and salvation.<br />

In 1934, Adolf Hitler summoned German church leaders to his Berlin office to berate them for insufficiently supporting his programs. Pastor Martin Niemöller explained that he was concerned only for the welfare of the church and of the German people. Hitler snapped, "You confine yourself to the church. I'll take care of the German people." Niemöller replied, "You said that ‘I will take care of the German people.' But we too, as Christians and churchmen, have a responsibility toward the German people. That responsibility was entrusted to us by God, and neither you nor anyone in this world has the power to take it from us."<br />
<br />
It's easy to be intimidated today, for Christian values and convictions are the laughingstock of a godless society. But this is no time to be on the defensive. Christ overturned the moneychangers in the temple without flinching. If Jesus stood firm in His day and Niemöller in his, we can stand for Christ today--as bold as a lion.<br />
<br />
The fearful hare trembles at every cry; but the courageous lion is unmoved by the greatest clamors. Were believers to shrink back at every contrary wind that blows, they would never make their voyage to heaven.

<b>By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; "and was not
found, because God had translated him": for before his translation he had this
testimony, that he pleased God. </b> <b>Hebrews 11:5</b></blockquote>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In today's world, the "centenarian club"--those living to age 100 or more--is a select group. Thousands of years ago, prior to the great flood, the goal was not living to 100 but living to 1,000! No one made it, but Methuselah came closest, dying at age 969 years (Genesis 5:27). Methuselah's father, Enoch, was a rarity in those days--he lived only 365 years. But there was a special reason why his lifespan on earth was cut short. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Enoch's life on earth ended unexpectedly because God removed him from earth, presumably to heaven. We are not told why God took Enoch, but we are given two clues. First, Enoch "walked with God" (Genesis 5:22). Noah is the only other person in the Bible who "walked with God" (Genesis 6:9). Second, we are told that Enoch "pleased God" (Hebrews 11:5). The fact that Enoch lived in a time of great violence and sin on the earth suggests that God removed Enoch from that environment as a reward for his righteousness. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Regardless of how long we live, our goal today and everyday should be to walk with God in a way that pleases Him. </div>

Right now we only have the vinyl tiles on it that we put since we renovated our bedroom. It looks spacious now, the size was doubled and aside from putting a new rug, we are planning also to put a new mattress. But that would be later, when we have more budget. We need to put sheepskin seat covers to our car to make it look comfy too. Our car really needs an upgrade because it's a pre-loved car but still runs good. We would like to buy a van but we're still saving money to buy one. So right now, we have to be contented with what we have. Later on, when God will give the blessings, then we can buy what we want. We really need a van for our church so we can use it for our church ministry. I was browsing the internet and I happened to see this website where we can buy sheepskin products for our room and car and comfyship.com got what I want. Try to check it out folks and see it for yourselves. You might find too what you're looking for in their website.GeoLishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11623086421063977435noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3800770763561651759.post-30191329558447843032012-04-10T01:47:00.000-05:002012-04-10T01:48:41.365-05:00Faith<div style="text-align: justify;">Professor : You are a Christian, aren’t you, son ?<br /><br />Student : Yes, sir.<br /><br />Professor: So, you believe in GOD ?<br /><br />Student : Absolutely, sir.<br /><br />Professor : Is GOD good ?<br /><br />Student : Sure.<br /><br />Professor: Is GOD all powerful ?<br /><br />Student : Yes.<br /><br />Professor: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to GOD to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didn’t. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?<br /><br />(Student was silent.)<br /><br />Professor: You can’t answer, can you ? Let’s start again, young fella. Is GOD good?<br /><br />Student : Yes.<br /><br />Professor: Is satan good ?<br /><br />Student : No.<br /><br />Professor: Where does satan come from ?<br /><br />Student : From … GOD …<br /><br />Professor: That’s right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?<br /><br />Student : Yes.<br /><br />Professor: Evil is everywhere, isn’t it ? And GOD did make everything. Correct?<br /><br />Student :Yes<br /><br />Professor: So who created evil ?<br /><br />(Student did not answer.)<br /><br />Professor: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don’t they?<br /><br />Student : Yes, sir.<br /><br />Professor: So, who created them ?<br /><br />(Student had no answer.)<br /><br />Professor: Science says you have 5 Senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son, have you ever seen GOD?<br /><br />Student : No, sir.<br /><br />Professor: Tell us if you have ever heard your GOD?<br /><br />Student : No ,sir.<br /><br />Professor: Have you ever felt your GOD, tasted your GOD, smell your GOD? Have you ever had any sensory perception of GOD for that matter?<br /><br />Student : No, sir. I’m afraid I haven’t.<br /><br />Professor: Yet you still believe in Him?<br /><br />Student : Yes.<br /><br />Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son?<br /><br />Student : Nothing. I only have my faith.<br /><br />Professor: Yes, faith. And that is the problem Science has.<br /><br />Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?<br /><br />Professor: Yes.<br /><br />Student : And is there such a thing as cold?<br /><br />Professor: Yes.<br /><br />Student : No, sir. There isn’t.<br /><br />(The lecture theatre became very quiet with this turn of events.)<br /><br />Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don’t have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can’t go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.<br /><br />(There was pin-drop silence in the lecture theater.)<br /><br />Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?<br /><br />Professor: Yes. What is night if there isn’t darkness?<br /><br />Student : You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light. But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and its called darkness, isn’t it? In reality, darkness isn’t. If it is, were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?<br /><br />Professor: So what is the point you are making, young man ?<br /><br />Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.<br /><br />Professor: Flawed ? Can you explain how?<br /><br />Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good GOD and a bad GOD. You are viewing the concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can’t even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing.<br /><br />Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?<br /><br />Professor: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.<br /><br />Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?<br /><br />(The Professor shook his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument was going.)<br /><br />Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor. Are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?<br /><br />(The class was in uproar.)<br /><br />Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor’s brain?<br /><br />(The class broke out into laughter. )<br /><br />Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor’s brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?<br /><br />(The room was silent. The Professor stared at the student, his face unfathomable.)<br /><br />Professor: I guess you’ll have to take them on faith, son.<br /><br />Student : That is it sir … Exactly ! The link between man & GOD is FAITH. That is all that keeps things alive and moving.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">P.S.</span><br /><br />I believe you have enjoyed the conversation. And if so, you’ll probably want your friends /colleagues to enjoy the same, won’t you?<br /><br />Forward this to increase their knowledge … or FAITH.</div>GeoLishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11623086421063977435noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3800770763561651759.post-3233490754346125192012-03-02T02:01:00.001-06:002012-03-02T02:01:00.586-06:00Things Change: Making ChangeYou can change. None of us is the same person we were a year ago or a decade ago. Our bodies are changing--there's no denying that. But our minds, hearts, habits, personalities, and relationships are changing too. We just need to make sure we are changing for the better, that we're being transformed from glory to glory, that we're growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ. Those who refuse to change are not God-fearers, because those who love Him are changing every day. Don't be afraid to make some changes in your life, and don't be afraid to let Christ change you from within.<br /><br />I'll go anywhere as long as it's forward. -David Livingstone<br /><br /><blockquote>Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God. So, "procrastinate" means to move or put something from today until tomorrow (or the day after tomorrow, ad infinitum ).<br /><br />Most things in life that need to be done--pay the bills, paint the house, change the oil in the car--will allow for a few "tomorrows" before they absolutely have to be done. Why? Because if you die before you get the house painted, it will be an inconvenience for someone else, but not the end of the world. But there are other things in life that don't allow for such putting off since they have eternal ramifications. Most importantly is one's own decision regarding Christ. Hebrews 9:27 says we die and then comes the judgment--there are no tomorrows, do-overs, mulligans, or second chances when it comes to salvation.<br /><br />You can survive if you procrastinate about some things. But putting off a decision about Christ is not one of them.<br /><br />Pride is the devil's dragnet, in which he takes more fish than in any other, except procrastination. -C. H. Spurgeon<br /></div><br /><blockquote>For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now. 2 Corinthians 6:7 KJV</blockquote>GeoLishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11623086421063977435noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3800770763561651759.post-37928603731194578252012-01-20T10:10:00.003-06:002012-01-20T10:17:45.586-06:00How Your Garden GrowsEvangelist D. L. Moody had just started preaching a sermon on Galatians 6:7 when a man in the audience stood up and shouted, "I don't believe it."<br /><br /> In 2005 scientists germinated a date palm seed that was recovered from Herod the Great's palace atop Masada in the Judean wilderness--making it around 2,000 years old. And a 1,300-year-old lotus seed recovered from China was germinated in 1995.* These remarkable examples of preservation, however, are more the exception than the rule. Seed companies today don't normally guarantee the viability of their seed for more than a few years.<br /><br />Lots of things determine the quality of a harvest: the quality of the seed, the number of seeds sown, the quality of the soil, and the amounts of moisture and nutrients provided. And the same is true with spiritual harvest. God's laws of the harvest apply to the sowing we perform. If our seeds are our good works, our financial investments, our prayers, our study, and our service and worship, then quality and quantity are important. No farmer would sow haphazardly and expect a beautiful, bountiful harvest. And neither should we.<br /><br />As stewards, we have been entrusted with seeds to sow. And as we sow, so shall we reap.<br />"Anyone can count the seeds in one apple, but only God can count the apples in one seed."
