By Faith Alone

READ | Romans 1:16-17 If you're too proud to submit to God, you'll never get to heaven. You may be a kind, gentle person; you may even be naturally compassionate and charitable. But if your pride keeps you from admitting your need for Christ, then you'll never accept His gift of salvation. Many people are in hell because their heart was too hard and they believed their mind was too smart for God. There's only one way to reach heaven. Holy God cannot tolerate sin in His presence. The believer doesn't work or reason his way into heaven. The bridge spanning the gap between each individual and God is crossed only through an act of faith. That's achieved by acknowledging ...

When Our Faith Wavers

READ | James 1:1-8 The Bible warns against “wavering faith.” This is the attitude of someone who goes from feeling certain that God will answer a prayer to merely hoping that He might or becoming convinced He won’t. Of course, since we’re human, we all experience periods of doubt. But what Scripture warns against is a lifestyle of spiritual disbelief. Wavering can have many causes. A person, who is “driven and tossed by the wind”, may lose confidence in God and find his spiritual growth stunted. He can become a “double-minded man” because even as he prays, he tends to jump ahead of the Lord’s timing to manipulate a situation for his own desired outcome. When a Christian pays attention to his doubts in this way, he’ll often make cost...

Faith In God

According to the Bible, without faith, it is impossible to please God. So we need to have faith in God in order to please Him. The Bible said, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, that's why it's so important to go to church on Sundays and listen to the preaching of God's Word. We need also to read our Bible daily because that is where you will learn more about the Word of God. My faith in God didn't grow instantly. I had to undergo a lot of trials in life before my faith went stronger. God used those trials to mold me and transformed me into the person He wants me to be. When trouble comes into our lives, we sometimes feel as if we've been hit by a strong typhoon. We feel desperation and then we wonder. Why is this happening to me? One possibility is that God is using a painful experience to get our attention and to turn to Him and trust Him to help us. Is God using pain in your life to lovingly persuade you to change and deepen your faith in Him?...
