Precious Words

We had a good service last Sunday. Though the weather was cloudy and rainy, we had more people than what we expected. As usual, the kids in Sunday School were there. The faithful kids who were always present brought their Bibles. I gave out memory verses for them to memorize and also I asked the boys to sing in front of the class and they did. Next I asked the girls to give a special song too and they complied. After that I gave them candies and lollipops which made them happy. I told them the story of the Widow's Mite found in Mark 12:41-44. Jesus praised the widow for giving her last penny to God. Our worship service went well. Pastor's message was entitled "Jesus, A Name Above All Names" and the text verse was found in Luke 1:30-31. He then explained What The Name Of Jesus Means. 1. J- ustification -(Romans 5:9) 2. Discerning the right response to trials is impossible without God's wisdom. Formulating your own theories, making your own guesses, and imagining your own reasons for hardships are worthless. Only under the guidance of divine wisdom can you begin to see through the tragedy, uncover God's purpose, and discern the appropriate responses. There are a number of wise response to trying times. (1) We must be persuaded that the Lord is in control of the timing and intensity of the trial. It may last a day, week, year, or decade. First Peter 5:6-7 promises that if we put ourself under God's authority, He will be faithful to resolve our difficulties in His time. We may want Him to act sooner, but only He knows the perfect time to accomplish His purpose in our life. (2) We must recognize that God has a specific purpose for allowing each trial in our lives.Because He is a loving Father, He will not prevent every challenge. I had the opportunity to preach this message last Sunday night in our church. I praise God for he called me to be a preacher and delivered me from the pit of sin. TEXT PSALM 92:1 YOU NEED TO SET ASIDE TIME TO EXPRESS GRATITUDE TO GOD FOR THE BLESSINGS HE'S GIVEN YOU. PSALM 92:1 SAYS 'IT IS GOOD TO GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, AND TO SING PRAISES TO THY NAME O MOST HIGH. WE THINK WE ONLY HAVE TO GIVE THANKS AND PRAISE AT THANKSGIVING. BUT IN REALITY WE SHOULD GIVE THANKS AND PRAISE GOD WITH EVERY BREATH WE TAKE, MORNING EVENING, NOONTIME, AND NIGHTTIME. Prayer is the resistance against the devil. Resistance in prayer is the biblical approach to confronting and overcoming the devil. Peter wrote, Resist him, be steadfast in the faith"(1Peter 5:9) James echoed this teaching: "Submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you"(James 4:7,8). We are to actively resist evil through our persevering prayers. Resistance is first and foremost a firm decision to join the struggle against evil in prayer, rather than turning away , backing off, or retreating. Such resistance takes strength and courage. It also takes patience and perseverance. That's why men always ought to pray and not faint"( Luke 18: 1) We must submit to God and put our faith in Him. Submission to God is saying "Lord I can't defeat the devil on my own, but with You, I can. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Faith is the disposition of the mind that moves you forward in life. It is a conviction that guides your steps, even when you are confronted with obstacles. Faith keeps its eye on the finish line rather on the hurdles. That's why the apostle Paul can boldly declare, "We walk by Faith, not by sight" (2 Corinthian 5:7) "Faith" shows you the end result, the prize to be won. "Sight" shows you everything that stands in your way. It isn't a question of mind over matter or of a positive mental attitude. It's not even an issue of "powering through" the bad so you can get to the good. Faith is about a total focus of the mind and spirit on something specific--- in this case, God. In faith, you simply walk toward the goal. When you reach an obstacle, it doesn't have to send you backward. In fact, it just may be a training exercise that God will use to strengthen you for your journey onward. ( 2 Corinthians 5: 6-8) ...

If you have joy in your Heart it will be known by the look on your face. The object of Love is to serve not win. I have held many things in my hand, and I have lost them; but whatever I have placed in Gods hands, That I Still Have. When God measure a person He puts the tape around the Heart and not the head. The secret of life is that it is GOD given. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven can not heal. True Prayer is the longing of the heart.

The cross is the most important doctrine in the Bible. Why? All have sinned not one person but every person on this planet earth, have sinned against God (Rom. 3:23). It started with Adam & Eve and has carried down through the centuries up to this very day. God said we all are as filthy rags. The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). By this it meant we are separated from God, until we come to Repentance and ask forgiveness of our sins against our Lord God. True repentance is having a Godly sorrow not sorry because you got caught but sorry for committing a sin against God. We will give and account of ourself to God for all the wrong we have done. Today people are not accountable, always trying to justify their actions by blaming it on the circumstance like the environment they grew up in, if that is true what about Adam & Eve they were in the perfect surrounding , the perfect atmosphere.
