How Prayer Help Us

P- Prepares the heart. Proverbs 16:1 THE PREPARATION OF THE HEART IN MAN AND THE ANSWER OF THE TONGUE, IS FROM THE LORD.
R- Renews, Psalm. 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God and renew a right Spirit within me.
It repairs the decay of spiritual strength. It renews a constant spirit within us
A- Apply, Proverbs 2:2 So that those incline thine ear unto wisdom and apply thine heart to understanding.
Y- Yield, Psalm 40:8 I delight to do thy will O my God, yea thy law is written in my heart.
We must stop opposing or objecting to what God is telling us, yield our heart, soul and body to His ever command.
E- Enlightens, Ephesians. 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.
R- Request, Philippians. 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God.

Prayer is very important in a Christian's walk in life, it gets God's attention. It make old satan worry because he knows God is going to answer your prayer. We should never take prayer lightly or for granted. Pray one for another. God bless.

What A Day That Will Be!

The lyrics of the following song really touched me. The first time I heard this song was when we sang it in the church and my tears rolled down my checks while we were singing this song. They were tears of joy knowing that someday when I get to see my Savior, that would be a glorious day!

What A Day That Will Be

There is coming a day when no heartaches shall come
No more clouds in the sky, no more tears to dim the eye.
All is peace forevermore on that happy golden shore,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon His face,
The One who saved me by His grace;
When He takes me by the hand
And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

There'll be no sorrow there, no more burdens to bear,
No more sickness, no pain, no more parting over there;
And forever I will be with the One who died for me,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon His face,
The One who saved me by His grace;
When He takes me by the hand
And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

What a glorious day that will be indeed! Just thinking about it makes me excited, to be able to look upon my Savior's face and thank Him for dying on the cross for me! Just think, no more pain, sickness or sorrow, nothing but peace and joy. Jesus love us so much that He died just for us who are but sinners and unworthy of that kind of love. He is really worthy to be given thanks, praise and love.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Our Help In Prayer

Does this sound familiar? Determined to spend more time in prayer, you come to the appointed hour, drop to your knees, open your mouth and draw a blank. Sure, you manage a few words about what you need the Lord to do for you and your family, but you should be praying for more than that, shouldn't you?

Yes, you should. The Christian's needs are indeed God's concern; not even the smallest detail escapes His notice. However, He tells His people to imitate Jesus: "they should not merely look out for [their] own personal interests, but also for the interests of others." (Philippians 2:4).

Selfless prayer, though, isn't natural to us. We too easily think of God as a "genie", someone to do our bidding as we live life our own way. Thankfully, God has supplied a Helper. The Holy Spirit, our willing and able partner in praying effectively, intercedes for us when we can't pray as we should. (Romans 8:26).

How should we cooperate with the Spirit's intercession for us? First, we must recognize God's authority, holiness, and glory. Then, we need to submit our lives to his leadership. When we do, God?s will and desires become foremost in importance for us. Finally, we must submit our future to Him, trusting that He will bring great good out of negative as well as positive events in our lives.

In submission to the Lord, we will discover greater peace and joy. We'll also find new words for our prayers. Even more importantly, we will develop a deeper understanding of God's greatness.

Paid In Full

I got this from my e-mail and I was really blessed while reading it. I thought of sharing it here and it's my prayer that you will be blessed too.

After living what I felt was a 'decent' life, my time on earth came to the end.

The first thing I remember is sitting on a bench in the waiting room of what I thought to be a court house.

The doors opened and I was instructed to come in and have a seat by the defense table.

As I looked around I saw the 'prosecutor.'

He was a villainous looking gent who snarled as he stared at me.

He definitely was the most evil person I have ever seen.

I sat down and looked to my left and there sat My Attorney, a kind and gentle looking man whose appearance seemed so familiar to me, I felt I knew Him.

The corner door flew open and there appeared the Judge in full flowing robes.

He commanded an awesome presence as He moved across the room I couldn't take my eyes off of Him.

As He took His seat behind the bench, He said, 'Let us begin.'

The prosecutor rose and said, 'My name is Satan and I am here to show you why this woman belongs in hell.'

He proceeded to tell of lies that I told, things that I stole, and In the past when I cheated others Satan told of other horrible Perversions that were once in my life and the more he spoke, the further down in my seat I sank.

I was so embarrassed that I couldn't look at anyone, even my own Attorney, as the Devil told of sins that even I had completely forgotten about.

As upset as I was at Satan for telling all these things about me, I was equally upset at My Attorney who sat there silently not Offering any form of defense at all.

I know I had been guilty of those things, but I had done some good in my life - couldn't that at least equal out part of the harm I'd done?

Satan finished with a fury and said, 'This woman belongs in hell, she is guilty of all that I have charged and there is not a person who can prove otherwise.'

When it was His turn, My Attorney first asked if He might approach the bench.

The Judge allowed this over the strong objection of Satan, and beckoned Him to come forward.

As He got up and started walking, I was able to see Him in His full splendor and majesty.

I realized why He seemed so familiar; this was Jesus representing me, my Lord and my Savior.

He stopped at the bench and softly said to the Judge, 'Hi, Dad,' and then He turned to address the court.

'Satan was correct in saying that this woman had sinned, I won't deny any of these allegations.

And, yes, the wage of sin is death, and this woman deserves to be punished.

Jesus took a deep breath and turned to His Father with outstretched arms and proclaimed, 'However, I died on the cross so that this person might have eternal life and she has accepted Me as her Savior, so she is Mine.'

My Lord continued with, 'Her name is written in the Book of Life, and no one can snatch her from Me.

Satan still does not understand yet. This woman is not to be given justice, but rather mercy.'

As Jesus sat down, He quietly paused, looked at His Father and said,'There is nothing else that needs to be done.' 'I've done it all.'

The Judge lifted His mighty hand and slammed the gavel down. The following words bellowed from His lips..

'This woman is free.'

'The penalty for her has already been paid in full.'

'Case dismissed.'

As my Lord led me away, I could hear Satan ranting and raving, 'I won't give up, I will win the next one.' I asked Jesus as He gave me my instructions where to go next, 'Have you ever lost a case?'

Christ lovingly smiled and said,

'Everyone that has come to Me and asked Me to represent them has received the same verdict as you,

My Brother and His Wife Got Saved

I have 3 siblings, a sister next to me and 2 younger brothers. Three of us got saved many years ago except my brother Celso. I've been praying to the good Lord to save my brother and I even cried out his name to the Lord every time I pray that he will open his heart and accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. I've been trying to witness to him many times and he kept saying he is saved. But he doesn't go to church on Sundays and he still drinks beer with his friends.

Lately I haven't been sleeping good due to the ringing in my ears. But the Lord had used this for good. Since I can't sleep last Thursday, I went online early in the morning here in Texas and it was evening in the Philippines. My brother saw me online and he called me. I talked to him and his wife and I saw in the webcam too their newborn baby. While talking to my sister-in-law, I talked to her heart to heart and I asked if she wants to get saved and know for sure that if she dies, she'll go to heaven. She was willing and I read to her the Scriptures on how to get saved. Then I asked her to repent from her sins and she prayed quietly. Then I prayed with her the sinner's prayer and she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.

Next, I talked to my brother and I did the same. He bowed his head and prayed quietly asking God to forgive him of his sins. Then I prayed with him the sinner's prayer and led my brother to the Lord. I was so happy that I can't help but cry while I was praying with him. I was so emotional and happy at the same time seeing two of my family got saved. It was an answered prayer. I just can't contain my happiness that my brother got saved and the Lord has used me. I was so thankful to the Lord after that. I was talking to both of them after they received Jesus in their hearts and I asked my sister to buy a Bible for them and charge it to me. I advised them to pray always and read their Bible daily. They were so thankful to me after that but I told them it's the Lord who really worked in their lives. The Lord is so good for saving my brother and his wife. The Lord had impressed in my heart that I have to be bold in witnessing to them and led them to the Lord and it was the right time.

My brother will be flying to Singapore tomorrow to look for a job there. So I told myself last Thursday, now is the right time. I just don't want him to leave the country without him being saved and I'm so glad he was willing. His heart that was hardened was softened. Thank you Lord. I just talked to my sister-in-law last night and she told me that my brother has been reading his Bible and he stopped drinking beer. His friends had been inviting him to have a drinking session with them but he turned them down. My sister-in-law was so thankful to me for leading my brother and her to the Lord. It was the Lord who worked in their lives. I'm just a willing vessel to carry God's work. My hubby and I got to talked to my brother again this morning. He was busy packing his things and he's gonna fly to Singapore tomorrow. I gave him sisterly advises to continue in the faith, develop his relationship with the Lord and always talk to God through prayer. My hubby and I prayed with him online this morning too. There is joy in serving the Lord and leading people to Him. I'm so glad that 2 people that are dear to me got saved.

You too can be saved. Just acknowledge that you are a sinner and repent from your sins. Ask God to forgive you and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh to the Father but by me." John 14:6.

If you want to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, please pray this prayer with your heart. This is the sinner's prayer that I prayed with my brother and his wife when I led them to the Lord:

Dear God, I admit I am a sinner, going to hell. I know that I cannot save myself. I repent of my sins and I put my faith in the blood that you shed for me on the cross to pay for all my sins. I now accept you as my Savior and trust you to take me to heaven. Thank you for saving me. Amen.

The Right Response To Our Trials

Discerning the right response to trials is impossible without God's wisdom. Formulating your own theories, making your own guesses, and imagining your own reasons for hardships are worthless. Only under the guidance of divine wisdom can you begin to see through the tragedy, uncover God's purpose, and discern the appropriate responses. There are a number of wise response to trying times.

(1) We must be persuaded that the Lord is in control of the timing and intensity of the trial.

It may last a day, week, year, or decade. First Peter 5:6-7 promises that if we put ourself under God's authority, He will be faithful to resolve our difficulties in His time. We may want Him to act sooner, but only He knows the perfect time to accomplish His purpose in our life.

(2) We must recognize that God has a specific purpose for allowing each trial in our lives.Because He is a loving Father, He will not prevent every challenge. However, the Lord will always endow His children with power to over come the obstacle. Furthermore, He will use those hard times to shape us into the mature believers He desires us to be.

(3) We must acknowledge that each trial is designed to meet a specific need that God sees in our lives. Oftentimes we will not see or understand that need until the trial is over and we have gained some distance and perspective. Then we can look back and realize that there was a tremendous lesson to be learned or an error to be corrected. Because God has that perspective from the outset, He is able to do whatever is necessary to correct the problem.

(4) We must be convinced that the Lord will walk with us through each step of our stormy times in life. There will never be a moment when He is absent. Hebrew 13:5 states this plainly "I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you" Christ's presence provides a continual refueling of our courage and patience. With Jesus at our side, what possibly overtake us. Although these are all positive ways to deal with hardship, there is one response we must never forget- recognizing that by God's grace and power, we will not only survive, but we will truly conquer life's obstacles. That is true wisdom Yes, life does hurt. But those of us in Christ will never face hardship alone. As we lean on each other and bow down before the Lord, we know that Jesus is with us in our trials. Moreover, He will take our mournful ashes and use them to paint a magnificent picture for His glory. Thank You Jesus.....

The Blood Of Jesus

One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God at her heart. She responded to God's call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. The young woman had a very rough past, involving alcohol, drugs, and prostitution. But, the change in her was evident. As time went on, she became a faithful member of the church. She eventually became involved in the ministry, teaching young children. It was not very long until this faithful young woman had caught the eye and heart of the pastor's son. The relationship grew and they began to make wedding plans. This is when the problems began. You see, about one half of the church did not think that a woman with a past such as hers was suitable for a pastor's son. The church began to argue and fight about the matter. So they decided to have a meeting. As the people made their arguments and tensions increased, the meeting was getting completely out of hand. The young woman became very upset about all the things being brought up about her past. As she began to cry the pastor's son stood to speak. He could not bear the pain it was causing his wife to be. He began to speak and his statement was this: 'My fiancee's past is not what is on trial here. What you are questioning is the ability of the blood of Jesus to wash away sin. Today you have put the blood of Jesus on trial. So, does it wash away sin or not?' The whole church began to weep as they realized that they had been slandering the blood of the Lord Jesus Chris t. Too often, even as Chris tians, we bring up the past and use it as a weapon against our brothers and sisters. Forgiveness is a very foundational part of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. If the blood of Jesus does not cleanse the other person completely, then it cannot cleanse us completely. If that is the case, then we are all in a lot of trouble. What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus! End of case!!!! 'Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee, he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.' Psalm 55:23
