The Cross: Where the Wrath and Love of God Meet
The cross is the most important doctrine in the Bible. Why?
All have sinned not one person but every person on this planet earth, have sinned against God (Rom. 3:23). It started with Adam & Eve and has carried down through the centuries up to this very day. God said we all are as filthy rags.
The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). By this it meant we are separated from God, until we come to Repentance and ask forgiveness of our sins against our Lord God. True repentance is having a Godly sorrow not sorry because you got caught but sorry for committing a sin against God.
We will give and account of ourself to God for all the wrong we have done. Today people are not accountable, always trying to justify their actions by blaming it on the circumstance like the environment they grew up in, if that is true what about Adam & Eve they were in the perfect surrounding , the perfect atmosphere. But they still disobeyed and sin against God. WE HAVE OUR OWN FREE WILL. NO ONE MAKES YOU DO WRONG. YOU CHOSE TO SIN YOURSELF. SATAN WILL NOT MAKE YOU, and even God won't make you do anything.
Salvation comes only through Jesus Christ through the Cross. Without it we are lost
If we want to see how seriously God takes sin we need only look to the cross.
We can not understand the measures of God"s love without recognizing God"s wrath (John 3:36)
God"s wrath is God"s intense hatred for sin not the sinner, (Romans 1:18 ). For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who hold the truth in unrighteousness; God hates sin because it destroys, while He gives life.
God directs His wrath toward not just the cross but toward Jesus. You say why Jesus? When Jesus hung on that Cross that day in agony, humiliation nail driven into His hand and feet hung on that cross in great pain being mocked by all the people, God put the sins of the world upon Him. The wrath of God, then His LOVE. God gave His Son to die on the cross so you and I could have Life eternity if we only believe. What matter of love is that one lays his life down for we humans.
Because of Jesus, God can satisfy both justice and mercy, wrath and love:
Justice by giving everyone a chance to repent from their sins if you chose not to the wrath is upon you to live eternity in a burning hell. Yes Hell is real. If you repent and ask forgiveness of your sins, the mercy of God will be given you to live eternity in heaven:
Justification God declares us righteous because of CHRIST JESUS righteousness (Romans 3:24-26)
Verse( 24 ) - Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
( 25 ) - Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His
righteousness for the remission of sin that are past through the forbearance of God:
( 26) - To declare, I say at time His righteousness, that He might be just, and the justifier of Him which believeth in Jesus.
The cross is "foolishness" to some, but life to anyone who places their trust in Jesus Christ.
( John 3:16-17)- (16)- For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
(17)- For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but the world through Him might be saved.
