This is one of the best prayers I think I have ever read. Pray this even if you don't feel like it. It will only take a minute. You never know when God is going to bless you. Good things happen when you least expect them to.

Dear Lord, I thank You for this day,

I thank You for my being able to see

and to hear this morning.

I'm blessed because You are

a forgiving God and

an understanding God.

You have done so much for me

and You keep on blessing me.

Forgive me this day for everything

I have done, said or thought

that was not pleasing to you.

I ask now for Your forgiveness.

Please keep me safe

from all danger and harm.

Help me to start this day

with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude.

Let me make the best of each and every day

to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.

Please broaden my mind

that I can accept all things.

Let me not whine and whimper

over things I have no control over.

And give me the best response

when I'm pushed beyond my limits.

I know that when I can't pray,

You listen to my heart.

Continue to use me to do Your will.

Continue to bless me that I may be

a blessing to others.

Keep me strong that I may help the weak...

Keep me uplifted that I may have

words of encouragement for others.

I pray for those that are lost

and can't find their way.

I pray for those that are misjudged

and misunderstood.

I pray for those who

don't know You intimately.

I pray for those that don't believe.

But I thank You that I believe

that God changes people and

God changes things.

I pray for all my sisters and brothers.

For each and every family member

in their households.

I pray for peace, love and joy

in their homes; that they are out of debt

and all their needs are met.

I pray that every eye that reads this

knows there is no problem, circumstance,

or situation greater than God.

Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight.

I pray that these words be received

into the hearts of every eye that sees it

in Jesus' name. Amen!

Just repeat this phrase and see how God moves!!

God I love you and I need you,

come into my heart, please.

"The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe." Proverbs 29:25

God's Letter With His Resume

Ever wonder what the resume for God would look like? In this day and age, everyone's having to look for a job. This is an idea of what God's resume would look like if He were to apply as a manager in your life.

To Whom It May Concern:

I heard you were considering a new manager in your life. I would like to apply for the job. I believe I am the most qualified candidate. I am the only one that has ever done this job successfully. I was the first manager of human beings. In fact I made them, so naturally I know how humanity works, and what is best to get people back into proper working condition. It will be like having the manufacturer as your personal mechanic. If this is your first time considering me, I would just like to point out that my salary has already been paid by the blood of my son, Jesus on the cross of Calvary. What I need from you is the acknowledgment that the price is sufficient to pay for all of your sin and your independence from Me. I need you to believe this in your heart and to tell somebody else about your decision with your mouth.

The next thing I ask is the right to change and fix your life so you can learn how to stay close to Me. I will make some major changes and revisions. They are not for you to worry about. I need your permission to execute these changes, My way and in My time. I will change your desires and give you the strength to make the changes. Please keep your hands out of the way. I won't require assistance.

Don't try to help me and don't resist me. I really do need your full commitment and cooperation. If you give me those, the process can go smoothly, without delays.

Yours Sincerely,

P.S. I created the heavens and the earth. I AM.

Answered Prayer

Since we started our ministry, hubby and I have been praying for a lot where we can build our own church. It's been more than two years since we started and first, we held our services in our carport and sometimes in our living room. Then last year, we moved to a village and we've been renting a small house since then. The space is so limited and there's not enough room for the kids in Sunday School. Hubby and I keep on praying to God to give us a land for our church. Our church has savings from the tithes of the members but then it's not that much because not all are giving their tithes. Most of those people that come to church belong to poor families and only 3 families give their tithes regularly.

So hubby and I haven't been looking for a land because we know our church can't afford it yet. Until last month, one of our church members offered us to buy their land for a very reasonable price just beside the lot that our church is renting. They needed the money to pay the tuition fee of their granddaughter. The area of the land is 220 sq.m. Not that big but just enough to erect a building for our own church. We believe this is an answer to our prayer so bought the land. We thank the good Lord for answering our prayers. Now, we are praying for a church building!

Jesus says, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." Mark 11:24

Incentives For the Kiddos

Some kids in my Sunday School class were given school supplies before the school opening last June. I told the kids that I only give notebooks and pens/pencils to those who didn't have more than 2 absences in their class during summer vacation. I did this to give incentives to those kids who attend regular in my Sunday School class. So far out of 18 kids who were enrolled in my class, only 7 kids were qualified. Those kids who received the school supplies were so happy and I'm pretty sure even their parents too. Most of those kids come from a poor family, mostly farmers. The kids received 10 notebooks each and pens/pencils. Last year, the church gave all the kids school supplies.

Fashionable Scrubs

Every time I see those people in the medical field I always notice their fashionable and nice looking scrub uniforms. I was confined in the rehabilitation hospital a few years ago and I've seen the high fashion scrubs worn by my physical therapist both men and women. So for almost a month that I was in the hospital, all I see them wear everyday were their scrub uniforms and I still remember most of the colors they wore were green, white and maroon.

I was wondering before where do those physical therapists buy their uniforms until I came across Blue Sky Scrubs. I was browsing their site and I've seen their high fashion scrubs like what my physical therapists were wearing. I also did see a section at Blue Sky Scrubs which was devoted to kids scrubs, so your child could dress up like a doctor for fun or on Halloween. So if you are in the medical field or for whatever reasons you have for medical scrubs, you can buy it online at An important thing to note is that these scrubs cannot be found in stores. You can only find them at the said website.

Your Clothes Are Talking

Ladies, your clothes are talking. I hope I can help you know what they are saying. Proverbs 7:10 says, "And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot and subtle heart." Quite simply, a harlot wears clothing that purposely draws attention to her body, especially certain areas of her body -bust, legs and backside.

1st Timothy 2:9a says, "In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel." These two verses represent two extremes-the immodest woman wearing the attire of the harlot and the modestly-dressed lady. I looked up the word "modest," and it means "decorous" or "moderate." Of course, the woman dressed in modest apparel would not draw attention to her body.

If you are a woman who has been involved in a good, Bible-believing, fundamental church for years, and you have worn dresses and skirts for years, you probably think you are doing pretty good in this area. The world has a way of creeping in and influencing the way even Christian women appear. I want to point out some of these areas in hopes of making you aware of the messages your clothes are giving. Hopefully, after reading this, you will understand that certain clothes and the way they fit you are giving off a message. You want to be sure it is not the same message a harlot's attire would give.

Before I comment on the immodest clothing some women wear, I would like to point out one example that is too familiar to all of us. That example is the Christian woman who appears this way far too often: t-shirt not tucked in, jean skirt or old, casual, yet comfortable skirt, socks and tennis shoes. There may even be a run in her hose. Most likely her hair is pulled back in a ponytail, if given any attention at all. You ask, "If she is modest, what is wrong with that?" My answer is, "Nothing, if she is planning to clean out the closet or go hiking with her kids."

1. Too many Christian women bring criticism to Christianity because they look sloppy in their appearance.

When they dress this way frequently, they are giving off the message-"I don't care how I look." Of course, as daughters of the King, we want to look our best.

2. The tight-fitting garment.

The following is a way to know if a garment fits too tight on top. If your garment cups under the bustline or around the bustline, it is too tight. You can test this in any full-length mirror. You will be surprised at what you see. If your garment cups your bustline as described, you are giving off this message-"Look at my bust."

3. The too-sheer garment.

The way to know if your garment is too sheer is to see if your undergarment straps (bra and slip straps) can be seen through your outer garments. If they are visible, this could cause thoughts in the mind of a man that you really do not intend. The message your clothes are giving if too sheer is-"Look at my undergarments."

This problem can be remedied by acquiring a camisole with wide straps or even cutting off the sleeves of an old white t-shirt and wearing it as a covering for your undergarments.

4. The skirt or dress with a slit.

We all know there is rarely a time when we can purchase a garment with a slit and find that it is already sewn for us to meet our Christian standards. Perhaps you are thinking, "What's the harm of a few slits? I wear skirts and dresses. That in itself is a big change for me!"

May I give you a good rule of thumb which will answer the above question. A good rule is that your slit should be no higher than two inches from the floor when in an upright kneeling position. Anything higher than that reveals your thigh. Remember, the harlot reveals her merchandise to drum up business. If your slit is higher than the standard given above, you are giving off this message-"Look at my legs."

5. The too-low neckline.

It is quite frustrating sometimes to shop for a garment which has a high enough neckline to meet our standards. So, many times we settle for what the stores have to offer because we want to stay in style. We can be in style in a modest way without lowering ourselves to the world's standards.

Find the "U" right below your neck and at the top middle of your collar bone. Now, place your four fingers closed together at the bottom of your "U." If skin is showing below your four fingers, your garment is too low. Anything worn with a low neckline draws attention to your chest area. Just remember this: "The lower the neckline, the more curious a man gets." Surely we do not want to put men in that position. I believe many Christian women are ignorantly doing this. When your neckline is too low, you are giving off this message-"Look at my bust."

6. The tight skirt or tight-fitting part of a dress below the waist.

The following test will determine if your garment fits too tightly below the waist. Stand in front of a full-length mirror. If your skirt cups under your backside or abdomen, it is too tight. One thing I have seen that is a turn-off and quite unbecoming is panty lines showing through a skirt. If the skirt would have been looser, I would not have had to view this, and neither would our Christian men who are trying hard to keep their minds clean. Also, we want to avoid being sensuous. When your skirt is too tight, you are giving off this message-"Look at my backside."

7. The modestly dressed woman.

She wears an outfit with a high neckline that is loose-fitting around the bust and backside, yet flattering and pretty, under which are the proper undergarments for those sheer areas of the outer garment. The slit is properly sewn or nonexistent. Our attention would seem to be drawn to only one part of her body-her face. Her clothes are worn in such a way that she has made her acquaintance look her in the eye and see her for the lady that she is. When a woman dresses in such a way, she is giving off the message-"Look at my face." This should be the only area men want to look at when they see us; however, we determine that.

It would seem that there are only two reasons why women dress immodestly:

1. A mind problem.

Women do not think through how they look each day in front of a full-length mirror. They should take a few seconds each morning to quickly check the bustline, backside, slits, etc.

2. A heart problem.

Women are now aware of the messages they give when they wear certain types of garments or wear them are an immodest way. Some women continue to wear immodest apparel or try to hide behind excuses or simply know better but do it anyway. They need to be reminded that the harlot was "subtle of heart." "Subtil" means "cunning" or "clever." In other words, she knew exactly what she was doing. Christian women need not be "subtil of heart."

James 4:17 teaches, "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin." Before you read this, you possibly did not know better.

The Proper Women's Dress

The question of proper dress for women has been of interest to many. Actually, God's guidelines regarding clothing and dress are very general. God expects Christian women to dress in "modest apparel, with propriety and moderation (discretion, margin) " (I Timothy 2:9)—that is, in clothes that are not flamboyant and garish. A Christian woman should not be an "exhibitionist" in attracting undue attention to herself by wearing clothing that is provocative, suggestive, or outrageous.

You can dress very stylishly, and nicely, as a Christian woman without showing everything. Christian women should not show a bunch of cleavage, I think that is first and foremost. Not a lot of skin. Not skin tight dresses or jeans that look like you had to be poured into them. Modesty is a virtue; that doesn't mean you have to cover up from head to toe, it means, exercise some common sense. You can look attractive without looking like a tart, and I don't think there is a woman living who doesn't know the difference.

By the same token, this does not mean that Christian women should be drab, colorless, or tasteless dressers. A Christian is to be a light to the world (Matthew 5:14-16), an example of balance and good taste. We should not be so out of step with the fashions of society that we stand out like the proverbial "sore thumb." Clothes can be fashionable without being immodest or peculiar. Apparel should be appropriate for the occasion—decent swimsuits for the beach, jeans for yard work, and usually a dress or other nicer outfit for special occasions. A Christian woman should especially strive to look nice for her husband and family.

In the Old Testament, God gives this law: "A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman's garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the LORD your God" (Deuteronomy 22:5). This refers to transvestism or cross-dressing, not to a woman's wearing of pants that are designed for women. The simple principle is that men should look and dress like men—masculine—and women should look and dress like women—feminine. By doing so, we will both glorify God.

The "meek and quiet spirit" of a truly converted Christian woman will be reflected in the kind of clothing she selects (I Peter 3:1-4). She will wear what is appropriate and stylish for any given occasion, but with proper modesty and decorum. And God will look on the heart of such a woman with approval.

Water Baptism at The Beach

Hubby did the water baptism of the 3rd batch last May 28, 2011 at the beach. He baptized 10 people this time. There were 6 ladies and 4 kids who got baptized by pastor George. We hired a jeepney to go to the beach and we also brought with us foods for our lunch. One of the men in our church who is my uncle cooked the foods and I cooked the rice. Most of the ladies and some kids went with us too so we had a celebration after the water baptism.

During the baptism, the waves were so rough unlike the last baptisms that we had. Nevertheless, we managed to take some photos as souvenirs. Hubby said that next time that we will have baptism,we will just hold it in the resort's swimming pool.

Most of us went to the beach and had swimming after the water baptism. Though I don't swim, I went to the water and had a good time with hubby and the other church members. Then we ate lunch and enjoyed the food. My uncle was a good cook. The foods were great and all of us got full! We went home happy and I just pray that those who were baptized will have a changed life and will continue in serving the Lord.

How It's Made

Authored by Raymond Whitney

For those, like myself, who really like to see exactly how things work How It's Made is a fantastic show. This show is on regularly throughout the week providing a constant stream of interesting programming. Almost nightly I race home from work with the intention of kicking off my shoes, reclining in my chair, and watching this program on

There are normally two or three different products, concepts, or ideas showcased and explained during one half-hour show. One night they could be showing how candy bars are made and another night it might be the deconstruction of the U.S spacecraft. Regardless of the items featured??this show is captivating.

It's sometimes hard to find a program that is both informative as well as interesting, but How It's Made has it all. I've watched the show for several years and doubt it will be off the air anytime soon. In fact, many times viewers write in to suggest topics for the show. I think the reason so many people like this show is due to the fact they feel involved. A viewer gets the chance to really see "up close? how machines of all types operate.

Whether one is mechanically inclined or has never held a wrench in their hand, really doesn't matter??this is exciting programming for all.

The Ministry of the Holy Spirit

(John 16:7--15)

The moment we trust Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, we are adopted into God's family, and the Holy Spirit comes to live within us. His presence is a guarantee that we belong to our Heavenly Father.

The Holy Spirit ministry is essential to our ability to carry out God's work - and do it in a manner pleasing to Him. Transforming us from the inside out to be like Jesus and producing godly fruits in our lives are significant parts of His work. The Holy Spirit also convicts us of sin, provides us with understanding and wisdom and gives us the spiritual gifts we need to serve God. Only through the Holy Spirit's divine presence do we receive the equipping and empowerment necessary to accomplish God's plan. As we serve in a godly manner, we will testify to the truth of who Jesus is.

All truly saved people have God's supernatural power to accomplish the work He has for them to do. Yet not all Christians chose to operate out of the Holy Spirit's strength. Sometimes that's because we're confident in our own abilities and see no need to involve the Holy Spirit. A related reason is pride: we want to work things out ourselves and not depend on God. Human nature likes to be in control and have it's own way.

By attempting to live the Christian life in our our own strength, we achieve only what we ourselves are able to accomplish which isn't much. However, when you and I operate in the strength and power of the Holy Spirit, the result is what our Almighty God can do. The presence of the Holy Spirit is essential to our living a victorious life.
