God's Highest Priority For Our Lives

Image
Romans 8:28 One of our greatest needs is to know that we are loved. Each one of us has to feel certain, deep down in our hearts, that someone loves us, care for us, and has our best interest at heart. That is how God designed us. He wants us to know that He loves every one of us with a passionate intensity too deep for words. God created humans beings with fellowship in mind--first with Himself, then with others. But we cannot fully love one another until we have ourselves experienced the love of God. We experience His love when we willing surrender to His call to be our Savior, Lord and friend. There are at least three reasons God seeks our surrender. 1. He loves us and desires our fellowship. So long as we hold something back from God, we cannot know Him completely or fully Experience His love. when we surrender to Him, we get all of Him. 2. He wants our service for him to be effective and fruitful. The more we get to know Him and love Jesus, the more effective our service will be. ...

A Voice From Beyond

Image
In Memory Of A Soul Come to be with us, We do not talk about our neighbors , for our voices are stilled, but we send out messages of warning to those who view our silent city----- the city in which others have placed us' Oh how we would like to warn you not to cover your sins, but to confess and forsake them, that they may be blotted out of GOD's record. It is not all of life just to live; but to live again--- at peace with GOD and man. There is a great difference between those of us with Lazarus in Heaven and those of us with Dives in HELL. DO NOT wait until you come to be with us to repent BUT DO IT NOW; THERE IS NO BETTER TIME. Do it before you come here it will be to late then. we waited to long "O ETERNITY ! how long?" is our wail. Oh take heed of GOD's messengers-- those who cease not to teach and preach JESUS CHRIST, GOD's only begotten Son, as crucified for our sins according to the scriptures, buried, but risen again fr...

Incredible What Love Has Done

THE (SCIENTIFIC) DEATH OF JESUS CHRIST At the age of 33, Jesus was condemned to the death penalty. At the time crucifixion was the "worst" death. Only the worst criminals condemned to be crucified. Yet it was even more dreadful for Jesus, unlike other criminals condemned to death by crucifixion Jesus was to be nailed to the cross by His hands and feet. Each nail was 6 to 8 inches long. The nails were driven into His wrist. Not into His palms as is commonly portrayed. There's a tendon in the wrist that extends to the shoulder. The Roman guards knew that when the nails were being hammered into the wrist that tendon would tear and break, forcing Jesus to use His back muscles to support himself so that He could breath. Both of His feet were nailed together. Thus He was forced to support Himself on the single nail that impaled His feet to the cross. Jesus could not support himself with His legs because of the pain so He was forced to alternate between arching His back then...

Satan's War On Prayer

Image
I was going through my files yesterday and I was sorting those papers when I happened to see this printed in a bond paper. I got this from my e-mail long time ago before I went to the US. I liked the message so I printed it. I'm glad I did so I can share it here. This was written by Father Harold Hammond. All of us, from time to time, have had problems in our prayer time. Has this ever happened to you: Sometimes when you begin to pray, you remember that there is something else you have to do. Perhaps make a phone call, do an errand. Sometimes when you pray, you become bored and say the words of prayer out of your head instead of your heart. Sometimes when you pray, you become so sleepy that you can hardly keep your eyes open. Sometimes you become lazy and just don't want to pray. You want to do something else, anything else. Sometimes when you pray, disturbing thoughts come to you such as , "Is this all true? Am I really doing anything worthwhile.I really don't feel an...

What Happens In Heaven

Image
This is one of the nicest e-mails I have seen, and it really puts things into perspective.. I dreamt that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around. We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels. My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, 'This is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to God said in prayer are received.' I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world. Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section.. The angel then said to me, 'This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them.. 'I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and w...

Updates...

Image
It's been a while since I updated this blog. I know I've been lagging behind regarding my updates here. As I've written before, we don't have a church building yet so we use our house in holding our services. We tried to rent a house to hold our services but there was a misunderstanding with the owner. The house have no electricity and the rent she was asking was a little high so we didn't push through. Last month, we bought a 70 x 70 inch projector screen, speakers and a microphone to be used for our film showing ministry. We've been checking out the prices of the screen here in our province before we bought and it was pricey. We ended up buying it in Manila and it was cheaper there. We're planning again to show a gospel movie. Hubby and I have been checking out the Christian stores here to see what movies they got. They have some gospel movies that we want and we will have to buy it next time. We still have some gospel movies here that we haven't shown...

THE LORD'S TEST

Image
I woke up this morning and knew that today, The sun would not be shining and the clouds would be gray. As I stepped outside, rain fell upon my head. My car wouldn't start so I walked to school instead. I forgot all of my assignments I failed all of my tests. I dropped my head in disgust and asked the Lord for one request. 'Lord, why is it that things won't go my way?' He gently replied, 'Dear child; it is because you didn't thank me yesterday. I woke you up and enabled you to see the sun again. I gave you shelter, protected your family, and even let you make a new friend. I blessed you far greater than I ever had before. But you were too busy to thank me once more. You didn't feel sick because I maintained your health. You had money in your pocket because I maintained your wealth. You had shoes on you feet and clothes to wear, too. You had plenty of food to eat, and what did you do? You ignored me and went about your tasks. But when you wanted something you ...

Film Showing Of The Movie "Jesus"

Image
We had our 2nd film showing last Holy Thursday (April 9) in our carport of the movie "Jesus" from the book of Luke. There were more people who came and watched than the first time that we had a film showing. Our carport was so crowded. We were so glad that a lot of people came to watch. The movie was just in time for the Holy Week as they call it here in the Philippines. The said movie was translated in different languages and dialect so the people could understand it. It was a 2 hour movie and while the people were watching we gave them peanuts to munch. After the film showing, we feed the people with "arroz caldo", a Filipino delicacy. My sister was the one who cooked it. Most of the people who came said that they were blessed with the movie and they really appreciated it. Imagine, they got to watch a movie and had snacks all for free, he-he! Then the next day which was Good Friday, we had a film showing in one of the villages here in our town where most of my rel...

Water Baptism

Image
There were 4 of them whom my hubby baptized in water at San Fabian Beach last April 5. My two nephews Mark and Kenneth, my brother Celso and a young girl named Jenny had repented of their sins and accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. So in obedience to the command and imitation of our Lord Jesus Christ, they were buried with Him in baptism and was raised like Him to live a new life. Thank you Lord for the souls being saved. After the water baptism, we had a picnic at the beach in celebration of the said event.

25 Things About God

Image
1. Give God what's right -- not what's left. 2. Man's way leads to a hopeless end! -- God's way leads to an endless hope. 3. A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing. 4. He who kneels before God can stand before anyone. 5. In the sentence of life, the devil may be a comma--but never let him be the period. 6. Don't put a question mark where God puts a period. 7. Are you wrinkled with burden? Come to the church for a face-lift. 8. When praying, don't give God instructions - just report for duty. 9. Don't wait for six strong men to take you to church. 10. We don't change God's message -- His message changes us. 11. The church is prayer-conditioned. 12. When God ordains, He sustains. 13. WARNING: Exposure to the Son may prevent burning. 14. Plan ahead -- It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark. 15. Most people want to serve God, but only in an advisory position. 16. Suffering from truth decay? Brush up on your Bible. 17. Exercise daily -- w...

Film Showing Of The Movie "The Burning Hell"

Image
We had a film showing on Sunday night in our carport of the movie, The Burning Hell. Our friend Pastor Yanie had given us a copy of the movie when we went in their house last Valentine's Day. My brother-in-law has a projector that he bought and that's what we used to show the movie. We borrowed some monobloc chairs from our neighbor who owns a catering business because we only have 15 chairs. We also bought some snacks for all the people who will come to be served after the movie. My sister printed invitations for the film showing and she went house to house in our neighborhood with her son Sunday afternoon and invited the people to come and watch the movie at 8:00 PM. My hubby and I didn't expect a lot of people to come since my sister went inviting people at around 5:00 PM and the film showing was at 8:00 PM. To my surprise, there were more than 30 people who came not counting my family. My hubby gave a short message about hell before the movie started. He said that hell ...

A Day Of Worship With The Family

Image
We had our worship service in our carport last Sunday and my siblings with their families were all present. My brother Albin had finished installing the electric outlets and switch. My sister Violy had asked her maid to put some curtains to make the carport presentable for our worship service. Albin was the song leader and my brother-in-law played the organ. My hubby gave the message and it was really great serving and worshiping the Lord. After our service, we all ate together our lunch in our carport. We had a potluck. my brother Albin as the song leader

Our Ministry

Image
We've been here in the Philippines for more than a month already. I've been so glad to see my family whom I missed so much while I was in the US. It's so good to be home after more than 5 years of living in a foreign land. Texas became my homeland for the past five years and I learned to love the place and the people there. When hubby and I left our home in Wichita Falls I can't help myself but cry. It's been my home for 4 years and there were many memories there. But we have to do what the good Lord wants us to do and that is to go back in the Philippines and do missionary works. We've been praying about this for many months and the Lord had given us the means to go back to the Philippines. Hubby had to quit his job and left his family, friends and loved ones there. I know it's a sacrifice on his part but it's nothing compared to what Jesus Christ had done for us. He gave His life so we could be saved from our sins. We've been having our services in...

The Pastor And His Son

Image
Every Sunday afternoon, after the morning service at the church, the Pastor and his eleven year old son would go out into their town and hand out Gospel Tracts. This particular Sunday afternoon, as it came time for the Pastor and his son to go to the streets with their tracts, it was very cold outside, as well as pouring down rain. The boy bundled up in his warmest and driest clothes and said, "OK, dad, I'm ready." His Pastor dad asked, "Ready for what?" "Dad, it's time we gather our tracts together and go out."...
