Marygen's Testimony

We had a great service last Sunday. Though there were some members who were absent, we felt the presence of the Holy Spirit. As usual, we started the service with opening prayer followed with congregational singing of hymns and praise songs. After that, we had the testimony time. One young mom stood up and shared her testimony. Her name is Marygen. She's been attending our church since February and was baptized in water last May. The past few weeks, she haven't been attending church because her husband had to go to the field to plant rice and she had to take care of her son.

Then one day she had colds and that started both of her hears can't hear. She became literally deaf and can't hear anything. She said day and night she was praying to the Lord, crying out her heart to God. She asked forgiveness from the Lord for not going to church for 4 Sundays. She believed that God chastised her for not going to church. She promised that if the Lord will restore her sense of hearing, she will go to church on Sundays to listen to God's word. She didn't lost hope, she persisted in praying to the Lord. She opened her Bible and the page she opened she read this verse "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you" in Matthew 7:7. She claimed this verse and asked God to heal her. She even slept with the Bible as her pillow. The Lord healed her so that Sunday morning, she was present in the church. She was crying while relating her testimony. She said that God is good and He answers prayers. Most of us were teary-eyed while listening to her testimony and I was truly blessed. Pastor George's message that morning entitled "Approaching The Throne Of Grace" goes with her testimony. To God be the glory.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of. Hebrews 4:16 KJV
